Caregivers

The Hamburg Presbyterian Church Caregivers serve the church family by reaching out to those who are experiencing difficult times in their lives due to illness, being homebound, experiencing loneliness, or grieving the loss of a loved one.

We have monthly meetings to prayerfully consider concerns and needs of HPC family members. We also personally contact or visit homebound members. We visit and deliver bereavement baskets to church families who have experienced the loss of an immediate family member.

We send cards to those who are hospitalized or ill and to members who are unable to attend church or who have moved out of town but enjoy continued contact with HPC.

We deliver meals, as needed, to members who are temporarily unable to provide for themselves due to illness or personal difficulties.

At the Pastor’s request, she accompanies on visits to members who are homebound.

The team updates the weekly “Joys and Concerns” for the Sunday bulletin and the prayer list for “The Towel & Basin” monthly newsletter to keep our church family aware of members in need of prayers and support.

We assist the Deacons in delivering flowers donated at Christmas and Easter and pumpkins from the annual Pumpkin Patch to members on our shut-in or homebound list.

Our goals are to continue and expand outreach to the HPC church family and encourage more members to assist in our ability to continue with the above activities.
