The Hamburg Presbyterian Church Deacons praise and serve God by serving the church community and others and we work as caregivers for the church.
The main activities of the Deacons are preparing communion, transportation of developmentally disabled adults from group homes, conducting a prayer chain, and coordinating greeters and ushers for Sunday worship service.
The Deacons, along with the Caregivers, recently started sending cards and visiting the homebound. We also help with ordering and pickup of Christmas and Easter flowers for our shut-ins.
Our goals in the coming years are to continue doing the activities above and keep our focus on the care of the congregation of Hamburg Presbyterian Church. We will also be exploring the possibility of “Parish Parties”.
